Whose Snowshoe?

Whose Snowshoe?

by valerie, added 03.01.07

I was a pupil at the Primary School when it was based on the village green (1956-1961). In what was then Miss Roberts' classroom (the one with the fireplace)there was a large bookcase/display cabinet with some "Museum" items. Amongst the treasures was a canonball from the civil war and a snowshoe. I have often wondered a) what happened to the treasures when the school transferred completely up to the HORSA buildings behind the Co-op and b) whose snowshoe was it? Was it the partner of Franklin's snowshoe which used to be on display in the entrance hall of the Library in Freeschool Lane, Lincoln? Does anyone know?
