Calling All Emmerdale Fans - Lincoln City Ladies FC To Host Charity Event At Collingham

Hello Everyone,

On Sunday 24th September Lincoln City Ladies will be playing their Women's Premier League Northern Division away fixture at Preston North End.

However, I am delighted to announce that in the absence of first class Ladies Football at our home ground at Collingham F.C. (Station Road) that day there will be a whole host of activities taking place to raise money for the Beaumond House Community Hospice charity.

Heading the bill will be a football match between the Emmerdale All Stars and Collingham FC - this is a celebrity football match played every year for the Ian Nicholson Memorial Trophy, and will include, as the team name suggests, many of the stars from the well-loved ITV soap.

There will also be appearances by Steve Hodge (ex Notts Forest and England) and Tony Dinning of Stockport.

There will be a 5-a-side football competition between the Football Association Mascots v Fish Fryers of Newark.

Also, there will be a retained firemen Tug of War between the firemen of Collingham v Newark. Ladies - there is a rumour flying about that if it is a hot day, one or two shirts may be removed during this event to reveal upper bodies only a heady cocktail of heavy lifting mixed with natural testosterone can possibly have sculpted - must be worth a day out.

There will be performances by Charlotte Hamilton Cheerleaders and AJ's Dance School.

For the younger at heart there will be a children's slide - also football speed shoot, tombola, cake stall, BBQ, ice cream, teas, and of course the bar will be open.

Entrance is: Adults - 2 pounds, OAPs/U16s - 1 pound, U5s get in free.

The fun starts at 12 noon on Sunday 24th Sept. at Station Road Ground, Collingham Football Club in Collingham - with the kick off of the main event - Emmerdale All Stars v Collingham VII match - at 1.30pm.

Lincoln City Ladies F.C. is pleased to support this excellent charitable fund-raising event taking place at our home ground at Collingham F.C.
